The 10th annual Best of NFMLA Awards honored emerging filmmakers across 16 categories, recognizing talent in storytelling and craft. Among the winners was our film From Here, which won the award for Best Film Editing. This well-deserved recognition celebrates the work of Christina Antonakos-Wallace and Aletta Von Vietinghoff in crafting a compelling and deeply resonant narrative.

This recognition highlights the impact of From Here, a film that explores belonging and migration in a deeply personal way. Thoughtful editing brought its protagonists’ journeys to life, making their stories feel even more intimate and moving.
