News + Hiring an Impact Producer (Newsletter)

Dear Friends,

As the year winds down, I hope that each of you is finding peace, warmth and safety as we look ahead to 2022. Today, our team is excited to announce that thanks to a generous donation, we are hiring an Impact Producer in the U.S. to steer the next phase of FROM HERE's community work! 

We invite you to share the post with your networks. We are eager to speak with applicants committed to immigrant justice, passionate about the intersection of art for social justice, and experienced in creating visionary campaigns. You all are exactly those types of people and connected to many more - so we are enlisting your help!

The U.S. Impact Producer will be invited to bring their lived experiences and professional background to shaping the campaign, which will include a combination of partnerships, community screening events, support of partners legislative campaigns, workshops, university engagements, and leveraging our educational resources. See the full job description with timeline and compensation details at https://www.fromherefilm.com/jobs  

On the German side, we are thrilled that our long term collaborator, Olga Gerstenberger, will be leading FROM HERE's impact work as we enter this next chapter.

Throughout the Fall, FROM HERE has continued to screen at film festivals on three continents, including Festival International de Cine de La Paz in Bolivia, Beyond Borders Film Festival in Greece, the Inncontro Film Festival in Austria (featured above with our Creative Producer, Canan Turan, on the mic), the BendFilm in Oregon, Port Townsend Film Festival in Washington, and Tallgrass Film Festival in Kansas. It is exciting to see the film meeting audiences in such different places, and we trust that festivals were just the beginning of more to come.
